Strawberry Mochi Cookie - How to Play & Best Team Combos

Who Is Strawberry Mochi Cookie?

Strawberry Mochi Cookie has officially joined the Arena at Epic grade with a totally unique style: an all-pink fox spirit girl carrying a bell staff, and wherever she goes, a pack of Strawberry Fox Spirits hunts alongside her.

In short, she's a Marksman / Mage summoner who plays from the backline: she doesn't rush into close combat, but instead chains together steady damage from straight-line attacks plus a fox pack that chases enemies on its own, then picks the right moment to unleash her Ultimate and lock down a key target. This Cookie isn't a "press buttons and win" type — you need to understand her rhythm to unlock her full power.

Skill Set — What You Need to Know

Everything revolves around the Spirit Energy bar. Basic Attack fills your energy → that energy lets you use your Special Skill → the fox pack and Ultimate keep up the pressure. Spamming skills without landing Basic Attacks means "running out of gas" mid-fight.

Basic Attack — Main Energy Source

  • Mechanic: Releases a fox spirit in the direction you choose, dealing damage to enemies in its straight path.
  • Role: This is a "skillshot" attack that needs to be aimed, and it's the fastest way to fill your Spirit Energy.
  • Tips: Try to keep landing it so you always have energy in reserve when you need to dash away.

Special Skill — Dash + Summon Fox Pack

  • Mechanic: Dashes in the direction you choose and summons 2 Strawberry Fox Spirits. You can hold a maximum of 3 spirits; every 8 seconds one is automatically added (lasting 5 seconds). The spirits chase enemies on their own and deal damage to enemies in the area. Consumes Spirit Energy.
  • Role: Doubles as a dash tool for escaping or sticking to enemies, and as a source of damage plus area control.
  • Tips: Don't "waste" all 3 spirits at once without a purpose — managing your energy bar is the key.

Ultimate — Lock Target + Area Explosion

  • Mechanic: Releases one giant Strawberry Fox Spirit; the target hit becomes Charmed and has a spirit attached to them. The spirit deals damage continuously, absorbs spirit energy, then explodes into a Spirit Explosion that deals damage to the surrounding area.
  • Role: A pick/ lockdown skill — it renders one enemy helpless while dealing follow-up damage at the end of the skill.
  • Tips: Aim it at the enemy's carry or support, don't waste it on the Tank.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Stable damage + area control: the self-chasing fox pack deals damage while also "blocking the path," making it very strong when contesting objectives.
  • Mobility: the dash is useful both for sticking to enemies and for saving yourself.
  • Target pick: the Ultimate's Charmed effect lets you single out one target and open up a finishing combo.
  • Constant pressure: even while you're retreating, the fox pack keeps biting at enemies.

 Weaknesses

  • Resource-dependent: once Spirit Energy runs out, half her power disappears.
  • Low HP: most vulnerable to diving Assassins (Black Pudding, Peach, Chili Pepper).
  • Needs time to "build up the pack": early in a fight, before her spirits have gathered, her pressure is much weaker.
  • Skills need to be aimed: both Basic Attack and Ultimate are skillshots — miss once and your rhythm falls apart.

Effective Playstyle

  • Manage your Spirit Energy: weave Basic Attacks in between each use of your Special Skill; always keep a reserve so you can still dash away.
  • "Stack up the pack" before fighting: try to enter combat with all 3 Strawberry Fox Spirits already gathered, then release them all as the fight begins.
  • Use the dash both ways: stick to an enemy to attach a spirit, or save it to escape an Assassin/Bruiser's opening combo.
  • Save your Ultimate for the right target: aim it at the enemy's carry or support — Charmed locks them down, your team moves in to finish them, and the Spirit Explosion sweeps through anyone nearby.
  • Position at mid-range: close enough for your Basic Attack to land, far enough to dodge combos; let the fox pack and your frontline absorb the hits.

💡 Basic combo: Stack 3 spirits → Special Skill to dash into range → release the fox pack to stick to enemies → nonstop Basic Attacks to refill energy → Ultimate on the priority target → team moves in to finish while the enemy is Charmed.

Effective Team Combos

Strawberry Mochi is a backline damage source, so she always needs at least 1 Tank to hold the front, and ideally 1 Controller as well to "open the way" for her skillshots. Avoid compositions made up entirely of backline units.

Composition 1 — Hold the Line & Protect — balanced, easy to play

Madeleine (Tank) · Ice Pop (Controller) · Strawberry Mochi (DMG) – Madeleine can be considered for swapping with Melon Soda (Support)

Madeleine holds the frontline so Strawberry Mochi is free to stack her pack and chain attacks. Ice Pop's slow/freeze makes Basic Attack and Ultimate nearly guaranteed to land. Melon Soda keeps HP topped up so you can calmly weave in attacks to fill your energy. This is the safest setup for anyone new to Strawberry Mochi.

Composition 2 — Pick & Burst — aggressive, fast-paced

Red Velvet (Controller) · Strawberry Mochi (target lockdown) · Black Pudding (Bruiser) – Black Pudding can be considered for swapping with Fruit Punch (Tank)

Strawberry Mochi uses her Ultimate to Charm the enemy carry, Black Pudding dives in to finish them off while they're locked down, Red Velvet disrupts and ties up the enemy line, and Fruit Punch acts as a shield to open the way. This is a "win one duel, clean up the rest" combo, but it needs tight coordination.

Composition 3 — Zone & Bombard — objective control

Strawberry Mochi (DMG spreader) · Cherry (Bomber) · Strawberry Crepe (Tank) – Strawberry Crepe (Tank) can be considered for swapping with Peppermint (Support) if the enemy team is “squishy”

Strawberry Mochi's fox pack combined with Cherry's area bombs turns every contested point into a "no-go zone." Strawberry Crepe holds the line, Peppermint tops up HP. Very strong in modes that require capturing or holding an area.

Recommended Modes

Strawberry Mochi shines most in modes with objectives or areas to hold, since that's where her self-chasing fox pack provides maximum "area denial" value.

Mode

Fit

Reason

Drop the Beat

★★★★★

The fox pack blocks off the point and pushes enemies out of the contested zone — exactly her specialty.

Jelly Escape

★★★★★

Highly mobile gameplay: collect Jelly, avoid fights, and deposit Jelly nonstop thanks to high mobility

Coin Rush

★★★★

Controls the Coin-collecting area with the fox pack and Ultimate, keeping enemies too scared to enter.

Smash Fight

★★★☆

Good damage & pick potential, but low HP — needs a solid protective composition.

Wild Royale

★★★

The fox pack applies constant pressure, and the dash helps you survive; requires patience — avoid 1-vs-many fights.

Recommended Spell Card

Choose a Spell Card that fits Strawberry Mochi's "kite & survive" playstyle:

  • Sticky Trap — creates a sticky area that drastically slows enemies around you. Great for escaping diving Assassins and pinning enemies down so the fox pack can bite them.
  • Shockwaves — knocks back nearby enemies. A lifesaver if enemies get too close, while also creating distance so you can keep chaining attacks.
  • Giant Form — turns you into a giant, restoring a bit of HP and increasing your attack range (but making you an easier target). Good if you have a frontline protecting you.
  • Dragon Wrath — summons a dragon that sweeps through, dealing damage along its path; it's offensive in nature, good for large team fights.

Top recommendation: Sticky Trap or Shockwaves — since Strawberry Mochi's biggest weakness is getting dove while her HP is low.

💡 Tip: Strawberry Mochi is a Cookie who "gets stronger the better you understand her." Don't give up if you're not used to her energy rhythm in your first few matches — keep practicing stacking the pack, weaving in Basic Attacks, and timing your Ultimate. You'll soon feel the true power of this fox spirit girl!
